Brief description of the Project The fashion design talents of Hong Kong has long been recognised as one of the most sophisticated around Asia. It is one of the most important and celebrated design industry, with both renowned and emerging talents selling their collections locally and abroad. Fashion can be an expression that speaks and represents different arts and cultures, and by Juxtaposing with other universal art and design languages that connect people of all interests, cultures and diversities; we hope to link Fashion with a wider spectrum of mediums to reinterpret new, individualistic and creative forms of arts. JUXTAPOSED Fashion x Music 2017, 2018 and JUXTAPOSED 2020 fashion exhibition & pop-up were of great success, this year we continue to aim to further fuse and combine fashion with music, arts, film and culture, placing them side by side in comparison and contrast, to cross inspire and to spark various different industries and their creative talents. JUXTAPOSED 2022 will again take Hong Kong's audience to a multi-sensory feast of fashion, music, art and culture. Audience and viewers will be able to drench in the creativity of 70 local talents. Outfits that are specially made with sustainable elements for this project by all generations and diversification of Hong Kong fashion designers will parade in a hybrid show featuring music by various musicians to an evening of fashion, film, art and music celebration. A multi-sensory fashion show on a weekend evening will provide the guests a program of style, JUXTAPOSED will invite music performers, film directors and digital artists to create films and visual effect to merge with the fashion show. It will be thematically choreographed along these different genres, creating a most influential and stimulating collaboration of fashion, film, art and music. To further showcase the works of participating designers and to engage more public interest in Hong Kong’s creative talents, pop ups will be continued for 2 weeks after the opening event.
