Brief description of the Project The Fashion Summit (HK) conference was remarkable in 2019 even under the unstable political situation. It was successfully held in 2021 in the presence of the COVID-19 pandemic and there were 713 onsite and 1488 online attendees as well as 35 speakers from HK and overseas including Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Sweden, and USA. Fashion Summit (HK) is currently ranked as a renowned & inimitable brand name amongst the international fashion industry. The theme for this new project is “Actions to the Sustainability Journey” which aims to build an informative, educational, and inspirational platform for the fashion industry especially for fashion designers and existing industry players who are actively engaging in the supply chain and employed their creative and innovative thinking for future business processes and practices. The project embraces the international conference, overseas study missions, workshops, exhibitions, and interactive activities among designers and fashioners in the world’s most reputable, fashionable cities in Stockholm Sweden. Hong Kong is a well-known city as centralized the collection of Eastern and Western cultures in one place. This is no doubt that Hong Kong is the right place selected to conduct this project. Being a centralized information centre then sharing the best practices, useful cases information as well as creative solutions to all parties within the fashion industry. The international and local key players from the fashion industry will be invited for the project activities, it provides an opportunity to network the companies from a different perspective and catalyze the collaboration of industries. Throughout the Fashion Summit (Hong Kong) project, Hong Kong can pioneer the global fashion industry for revolutionary change and strengthen the competitiveness of Hong Kong’s fashion industry toward the world.
